Makenzy is a young singer/songwriter originally from Lions Head Ontario. Despite growing up surrounded by the country music scene, she has been drawn to the pop/rock genre, releasing singles such as ‘Kill You In A Heartbeat’ and ‘Pretend’. She is experienced in piano, guitar, song writing and vocals, having written hundreds of songs. Makenzy’s performances have been described as emotional and captivating, as she expresses her stories through her songs with her ‘powerhouse’ of a voice. Her career in music has been driven by her family’s musical background, first taking the stage at only 10 years old, now playing iconic venues such as The Horseshoe Tavern. She has been writing music from the moment she learned how to read, releasing her first single ‘Home” still in her high school years. Since, she has continued to release and write music, soon to come out with her very first album.
